Eczema 11575...India
Practitioner’s 22-year-old niece, studying in London developed dry, itchy skin with a burning sensation on her face, neck, and hands, six months ago in Jan 2024. Her lips turned red severely dry with painful cracks, causing considerable discomfort and difficulty eating and speaking. She attributed the symptoms to seasonal weather changes. In Mar 2024, she consulted a physician who diagnosed this as eczema and prescribed oral and topical steroids, which gave no relief even after three months.
During her summer vacation in India, she consulted the practitioner on 7 July 2024 and was given:
#1. CC21.6 Eczema…TDS and for external application …BD in vibhuti
#2. IB (vol 15 #2)…TDS
Treatment progress:
- 14 July 2024: Symptoms improved by 40%.
- 21 July 2024: Improvement progressed to 70%, able to eat and speak comfortably.
- 28 July 2024: Complete resolution of symptoms, patient expressed joy.
- 1 Sept 2024: #1 stopped after tapering; #2 reduced to BD for two weeks, thereafter to OD for maintenance. Patient returned to London.
Latest review in Aug 2026 confirmed that she has remained well with no relapse.
