Heel pain 11646...India
A 67-year-old man had been suffering from intense pain in his right heel for four months since Oct 2025. Pain started the moment he placed his foot on the ground and persisted throughout the day, making it difficult for him to stand, walk or drive. He was unable to continue his routine activities including his daily walks. Initially, he tried massaging the area with over-the-counter pain-relief oils which provided only temporary relief.
On 19 Feb 2026, an orthopaedic evaluation with X-ray revealed a calcaneal spur along with soft-tissue swelling in the foot (report available). Painkillers and physiotherapy were recommended, with a foot injection to be considered later. However, as he was prone to hyperacidity, he was unable to take the prescribed painkillers, while the severity of the pain made it difficult for him to undergo physiotherapy. - 27 Feb 2026: Pain improved by 20%.
- 15 Mar 2026: Improvement progressed to 50%.
- 6 Apr 2026: Complete resolution of pain; resumed daily walks without any discomfort; dosage reduced to TDS.
- 30 Apr 2026: Remedy stopped after gradual tapering.
As of Aug 2026, there has been no recurrence.
