Dyspepsia 11618...India

A 35-year-old financial analyst had been suffering from upper abdominal pain for seven years since 2013. Initially, his pain was mild, occurring once every 3 to 4 months and lasting 2 to 3 days; he found buttermilk and rest were helpful. By 2015, pain frequency increased to once in 1 to 2 months, often accompanied by severe nausea, particularly during night shifts. He attributed this to his erratic eating habits due to irregular work hours, high stress levels, and frequent intake of junk food.

In 2016, his doctor diagnosed him with dyspepsia and prescribed antacids; he took these for three months during which his symptoms resolved, only to return after another three months. Concerned about potential side effects, he was reluctant to continue this treatment. In Oct 2017, he tried homoeopathy for six months, and in July 2018, switched to ayurveda for three months; both provided good relief, but symptoms invariably returned soon after stopping the medicine. Over the next two years, his condition became progressively worse - he now endured severe pain episodes, often accompanied by nausea, sometimes constipation, and mildly bloody stools. These episodes recurred every 2 to 3 months and lasted for about a week.

Despite the increasing severity, he did not take any treatment except for frequent short walks including during office hours; these were helpful. On learning from a colleague at work, he contacted the practitioner on 14 June 2020, his usual episode had started two days prior. He was given:

CC4.2 Liver & Gallbladder tonic + CC4.4 Constipation + CC4.8 Gastroenteritis + CC4.10 Indigestion + CC10.1 Emergencies + CC15.1 Mental & Emotional tonic…TDS

In addition, he was advised to incorporate regular physical exercise into his routine and avoid late-night snacking as much as possible.

Treatment progress:

As of Aug 2025, there has been no recurrence and patient continues his daily walks without fail.
