Psoriasis 11567...India
A 7-year-old boy was seen for treatment of a skin condition previously diagnosed as keratoderma palmoplantaris, a variant of psoriasis. The boy had been having dry scaly lesions on his toes, fingers, elbows and knees for the past 18 months. The lesions got worse during winter and also when the boy got dehydrated from sweating and playing. His dermatologist had prescribed moisturizing and steroid creams for local application, along with vitamins A & D and calcipotriol tablets to be taken orally. With this treatment, the lesions subsided but they came back within a month once he stopped taking the medications. He was later given Ayurvedic treatment, also with little success.
On 9 April 2015 he was given:
#1. CC15.1 Mental & Emotional tonic + CC17.3 Brain & Memory tonic + CC21.3 Skin allergies + CC21.10 Psoriasis...TDS and QDS for local application by dissolving 5 pills in 200ml of water.
Initially, the dry scaly lesions started to improve (about 50%). The skin became smoother. But from 20 April on, the skin began to dry out again. After consulting a senior practitioner on 2 May, the above remedy #1 was replaced with:
#2. CC21.1 Skin tonic + #1...6TD
#3. CC15.1 Mental and Emotional tonic + CC21.1 Skin tonic + CC21.3 Skin allergies + CC21.10 Psoriasis…QDS for local application in water
In addition the patient was asked to apply a water-based moisturizing cream (Venusia Max) BD to the lesions, once at night and once in the morning before he went to school. Before trying vibrionics, the patient had used this cream along with other allopathic creams with no success. The difference in this case was the addition of vibrionics.
After one month the lesions had subsided and the patient was completely healed. Beginning on 2 June, the dosages were gradually stepped down every month for the next 5 months as follows: #2...QDS (June), TDS (July), OD (August), 3TW (September), OW (October). As of 2 August 2015, #3 was also discontinued. When last seen on 26 October, there was no recurrence. See before and after photos below.
The practitioner’s comments:
The boy’s parents are very happy. They are grateful to Swami for their son's complete recovery. They are also happy that the boy was spared from possible adverse effects of steroids.
