Dear Practitioners
We have just celebrated Onam, a festival of special significance to people of Kerala, and now look forward to auspicious Krishna Janmashtami and Ganesh Chaturthi in September. Each carries a profound spiritual message, reminding us of victory of the righteous, power of devotion, and the ever-present Divine.
In His discourse on Onam on 31 Aug 2001, Swami said, “We should have pure love filled in our hearts. If our hearts are full with sacred love, no evil tendency will enter them. The heart is like a single seat-sofa, not a double sofa, nor a musical chair. There is room for only a single tendency and be it divine love. Start the day with love; spend the day with love, fill the day with love, end the day with love; This is the way to God.”…Sri Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol 34 (2001)
These festivals invite us not only to celebrate outwardly but also to turn inward and reflect on how we can live Swami’s teachings more fully. For us as vibrionics practitioners, one of the most meaningful expressions of gratitude is to make ourselves available for seva whenever and wherever possible. As the vibrionics family grows, so do the opportunities to serve, not only through patient care and camps, but also by supporting fellow practitioners, sharing knowledge, offering our skills, and responding to need, wherever it may be.
One area where we would like to see renewed enthusiasm is greater interaction among practitioners. Regional Coordinators (RCs) are encouraged to conduct regular online or face-to-face meetings with greater zeal. Such gatherings provide opportunities to learn from one another, share experiences, discuss common concerns, and address practical challenges, while strengthening our sense of community participation.
Practitioners visiting Puttaparthi are warmly invited to volunteer at the Ladies’ and Gents’ Sevadal Buildings and the SVIRT Office Clinic. We request all practitioners to maintain good communication with their RCs, keeping them informed of their service activities and schedule changes. If unable to attend an assigned seva or camp, please give advance notice so that alternative arrangements can be made. Such simple acts of consideration help ensure the smooth functioning of our service activities and uphold the trust placed in our organisation.
We may often ask ourselves, “How can I expand my vibrionics seva?” The answer may be closer than we think. Keeping emergency remedy bottles ready, offering remedies to plants and animals, helping someone encountered in our daily lives, or simply remaining alert to those who may benefit from our service can open new avenues. Seva need not always take place through a formal activity; every opportunity to help, when undertaken with selfless love becomes an offering to Swami.
As we approach the November Centenary celebrations, we encourage practitioners and RCs to think creatively about initiatives that can bring vibrionics closer to the community while promoting health and wellbeing. Some suggested activities are: 100 vibrionics camps, 100 minutes of simultaneous global prayers, lighting 100 lamps in 100 cities, planting 100 saplings with Plant Tonic, school drawing competitions on “Heal the World,” youth programmes under “Practitioners of Tomorrow,” and activities for children centred on kindness, forgiveness, gratitude, and healthy living. Anyone wanting to lead such an initiative should write to [email protected].
It is heartening to see what can be accomplished through collective effort. Recently, 175 practitioners from 14 states conducted 676 camps at 143 venues, serving 16,696 patients within three months. The Unity Run & Ride in Delhi was another wonderful example of collective participation, with around 10,000 people coming together while our practitioners offered Running Booster remedy to all, more details in the ‘In Addition’ section. As we move through these months of celebration, may we remain conscious of the many opportunities Swami places before us. Let us offer our time, talents, and abilities with love, strengthen our bonds with fellow practitioners, and continue to grow together in His service.
On the holy day of Krishna Janmashtami in 1995, Swami said, “Great teaching of Gita is: ‘Put your trust in God, carry on your duties, be helpful to everyone and sanctify your lives.’ Dedicate all actions to God. That is the way to experience oneness with God. God is in you. You are in God. This oneness is the basic truth. Chant the name of the Lord and render social service in a spirit of selflessness and devotion to God”…Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, 18 Aug 1995, Sri Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol 28 (1995)
May our beloved Lord guide us always and make us worthy instruments of His love and seva.
In loving service to Sai
